Thomson Reuters is about to embark on a procurement process for a major overhaul of the data collection network that underpins its real-time market data services. The vendor is believed to be preparing an RFP for the project, and is expected to make a decision and kick off implementation in the autumn.
With Thomson Reuters’ results due early May, eyes were on Interactive Data as it reported first-quarter earnings this month. The market and reference data provider settled nerves with a solid – under the circumstances – 2.4% increase in revenues to $186.0 million from $181.7 million a year earlier.
Australian financial risk management firm Oakvale Capital has expanded its use of SunGard’s AvantGard by adding new treasury functionality, which will help to further enhance its debt management capabilities, to its existing treasury operations. Paul Travers, chief operating officer at Oakvale, hopes that the extension of the solution will help the firm provide enhanced financial services to its customers.
Following the announcement of its acquisition of Xtrakter in November last year, Euroclear has finally closed the deal. The international central securities depository (ICSD) operator has purchased the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) subsidiary, which operates the Trax trade matching and reporting platform, with a view to creating synergies between Trax and its own OTC trade matching and routing service provided by Euroclear UK & Ireland.
