Pershing Opts for IDC’s Market-Q, PlusFeed to Power NetX360 Client Portal

Pershing LLC’s is rolling out Interactive Data Real-Time Services’ Market-Q browser-based wealth management platform to its introducing broker/dealer and independent registered investment advisor (RIA) customers. The deal is part of an arrangement that also involves providing clients with IDC-supplied real-time market data and analytical tools through Pershing’s NetX360 technology platform.

Deutsche Boerse/MNI Enters, AOL/Relegence Departs Algo News Business

There have been some comings and goings in the world of news feeds for algorithmic trading.

Deutsche Boerse, in its first real news initiative since its acquisition of Market News International from Xinhua Finance, used the Sifma Technology Management conference in New York last month to introduce its CEF alpha+ macro news feed, an ultrafast data feed that supplies macroeconomic news for immediate processing by trading applications. The move brings Deutsche Boerse into the ranks of suppliers of machine-readable news services, among them Reuters and Dow Jones.

Man’s AHL Opts for NYSE Euronext/OneMarketData’s OneTick

Man Group’s AHL quantitative investment management unit has selected NYSE Euronext’s OneTick tick capture and time-series analysis service to support is research operations. NYSE Euronext has a strategic distribution agreement with OneTick’s developer, OneMarketData, under which it resells the service either on a standalone basis or as an integrated component of NYSE Technologies’ Market Data Platform.

ICE Clear Europe and Eurex Credit Clear Ready for the Off

This week marks the end of the deadline for the launch of Europe’s credit default swap (CDS) clearing counterparties (CCPs) and both IntercontinentalExchange’s (ICE) ICE Clear Europe and Eurex’s Eurex Credit Clear are due to go live today. Both parties have declared they have already begun operations and will soon be ready to clear European iTraxx indices.

ISITC, AMF and ISDA Publish FpML-based Standards for OTC Derivatives Communications

A global OTC derivatives committee led by the International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication (ISITC) has this week published a set of recommendations designed to set messaging standards for communications within the OTC derivatives market. The FpML-based standards, which will be administered by ISITC US, are focused on the contract notifications message flow between fund managers and their third party service providers.

Dark fibre network provider AboveNet has been selected by NYSE Euronext to connect NYSE Euronext’s new data centres in the New York and London areas. The data centres are currently under development in Mahwah, in Northern New Jersey, and in Basildon, Essex.
