As Market Data Insight went to press, Thomson Reuters was unveiling a new multi-threaded capability for its Reuters Market Data System (RMDS). The new RMDS Advanced Distribution Server aims to address clients’ throughput issues, and has been benchmarked in tests with Intel at some 22.5 million updates/second.
The Intel FasterLab satellite implementation at Equinix’s LD4 data centre in Slough has begun operation, and is offering LD4 tenants and prospective tenants the opportunity to test the latency capabilities of the market data infrastructures supporting their execution engines at the site.
