Following its purchase of the Capco Reference Data Services (CRDS) business in February 2008, data management and reporting solution vendor Netik has taken the last 18 months to bed down the Global Securities Master (GSM) solution into its overall managed services portfolio. This work has resulted in the release of version 2.0 of the Netik GSM solution’s Netik Container component, which purports to give users more control over their reference and market data in the managed services environment.
Data validation services vendor Valuelink has added ex-Paladyne Systems European regional director, David Simmonds, to its executive team as head of sales. In his new role, Simmonds will be responsible for spearheading the company’s strategic growth by identifying and maximising opportunities to deliver value to new and existing customers, says the vendor.
The London Stock Exchange’s agreement to acquire Sri Lankan trading platform specialist MillenniumIT – announced this month – will also give the exchange a replacement for its Infolect data dissemination system. Though the rationale behind the deal has largely been driven by the need to cut order-turnaround times on its core matching engine, MillenniumIT also brings data distribution expertise to the table.
NYSE Technologies has embarked on the global rollout of its SuperFeed hosted, managed high-performance consolidated data feed. The new feed, with coverage of major North American and European markets, aims to provide a high-performance data distribution environment without the need for an on-site deployed ticker plant infrastructure.
