Alternative Asset Manager Malbec Deploys Gissing Technology to Deliver Market Data for Quant Algos

A new alternative investment platform, launched by Malbec Partners, is using Gissing Software’s technology as its core infrastructure. The system went live on November 1 2007. Malbec Partners was established by Fischer Francis Trees & Watts, a specialist manager owned by BNP Paribas through its asset management business line BNP Paribas Investment Partners. Located in New York, Malbec also has plans to open a London entity. Its president Jeffrey Trongone cited its “fully integrated platform” as one of the manager’s key strength when it launched last year.
