Atrium Network, provider of smarter connectivity for the financial community, announced today that it is the first connectivity provider to offer its clients ultra low latency access to both the existing Chi-X Canada production environment at 130 King Street, Toronto and the new Chi-X Canada production environment at 151 Front Street, Toronto via Atrium Network’s Exchange Ring.
Connectivity to Atrium Network gives clients the chance to connect to the new facility now and the opportunity to actively test the pre-production market data in the actual trading environment. Access will be provided using the same ultra low latency connectivity infrastructure that will be used for the actual market data once the migration from 130 King Street to 151 Front Street is complete.
Commenting on the connectivity to the new Chi-X Canada facility, Emmanuel Pellé, COO of Atrium Network, said, “We are delighted that we have again been first into the market and been able to help our clients deal with the rapidly changing trading environment. Clients can get ahead of the market now by building their connectivity to Chi-X Canada in their new facility and ensure they are ready for trading ahead of the Chi-X Canada migration on 20th August 2010.”
Pellé continued, “Providing connectivity to the new facility at 151 Front Street further underlines our investment in North America and the rapidly growing and evolving Canadian marketplace. Our approach to providing single point connectivity to the major trading venues means our trading participants need not worry about head-end moves; if a venue moves Atrium Network simply transfers a seamless connection.”
