Essex Radez, a leading provider of direct exchange feeds and co-location services for algorithmic traders, today announced its Normalized Multicast Feed, a consolidated order book service. Powered by an Exegy ticker plant, this feed incorporates BATS, Direct Edge, NASDAQ TotalView, NYSE ArcaBook, and NYSE OpenView data to deliver the top five equity prices with quote volume detail for each venue.
As vendor-of-record for delivery of all North American exchange feeds through its Velocitick subsidiary, Essex Radez offers clients the ability to co-locate any number of servers at any of its five data centers: Equinix Secaucus, Savvis/NYSE Weehawken, NASDAQ Carteret, Equinix Chicago, and CBOE Chicago. Additionally, through its private network, the firm provides execution connectivity to all major trading venues and will be introducing a smart-order-routing service in July.
Based on Exegy’s Virtual Order Book, the Normalized Multicast Feed (NMF) will be offered as one of a range of options to meet client requirements.
“Through the aggressive use of technology we are changing the economic model applicable to trading when co-located with the world’s largest exchanges. With the installation of Exegy ticker plants at our sites, we are building on a relationship that began with mutual support for the Market Data Peaks website. We recognize the outstanding capabilities of Exegy’s technology and welcome their participation in our efforts,” said John Muehlhausen, chief technology officer for Essex Radez.
“Exegy looks forward to working closely with Essex Radez in expanding the technology and market data options available to trading firms of all sizes,” said Jeff Wells, vice president of product marketing for Exegy. “We recognize that technology and data options must be tailored to meet a wide range of business requirements and that these requirements are evolving rapidly,” added Wells.
