The European Central Securities Depositories Association has established a working group to look at how to meet clearing and settlement recommendations issued by the Giovannini Group, including one regarding corporate actions. The group – headed by Michael Kempe, a manager at U.K. depository Crest – expects to report on its findings in the fourth quarter of 2004.
