Interactive Data, a leading provider of financial market data, analytics and related solutions, today announced that Matthias Paul has been appointed as Global Managing Director of its Managed Solutions business and Chairman of the Executive Board of Interactive Data Managed Solutions AG.

Taking over the role from Carsten Dirks, who recently left the company to take on a new challenge after 11 successful years. Matthias will focus on the global strategic development of Interactive Data’s Managed Solutions business and will be responsible for all business management of its various operations. Interactive Data Managed Solutions develops, operates and hosts customised financial information systems and web portals as well as desktop terminals designed for the wealth management community, including retail and private banks, investment companies, online brokers, exchanges and media portals.

Prior to joining Interactive Data, Matthias held a variety of senior management positions at Dow Jones & Company in Frankfurt, most recently serving as Vice President & Managing Director, Corporate Markets, with product responsibility for the EMEA region.

Prior to Dow Jones, Matthias also spent time in strategic senior management positions at VWD, which gave him insight into the wealth management market, and worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group.
