Thomson Reuters Integrates Lipper Fund Data with InvestmentView

Thomson Reuters has integrated its Lipper U.S. mutual fund classification data into its InvestmentView online wealth management service for financial advisors. The move makes Lipper Leaders Ratings, Lipper’s mutual fund rating system, a core part of InvestmentView.

With the addition of Lipper classifications, InvestmentView now provides institutional grade data enhancing the ability to search and display information on open end, closed end and exchange traded funds.

John Fennelly, global head of wealth management at Thomson Reuters, describes the inclusion of the Lipper Classification Data for funds “a fundamental shift towards institutional grade data quality in our InvestmentView product.”

Lipper’s U.S. equity fund classification model provides a framework for fund directors and management companies to use as a basis for performance evaluation. USDE fund classifications provide investment practice distinctions and thus set reasonable expectations about funds for retail investors and financial advisors. Lipper offers mutual fund indices based on a majority of the USDE fund classifications.

Thomson Reuters Wealth Management includes the Thomson One, Reuters Wealth Manager and Reuters Plus platforms.
