UBS GAM Expands Global Coverage of Checkfree GIM

UBS Global Asset Management has expanded its deployment of CheckFree’s (booth # 1422) multi-currency portfolio management solution, GIM, to multiple locations across the globe including London, Zurich, Singapore, Chicago and Sydney.

UBS is now able to use GIM in nine different countries and it has been expanded to increase instrument coverage to reflect UBS Global Asset Management’s multi-asset class trading requirements. This includes enhancements to corporate actions processing to extend coverage, improve efficiency and deliver control for setup, revisions and sign-off.

CheckFree GIM is deployed alongside CheckFree TradeFlow, which UBS went live on in April this year. This included integration with Omgeo Central Trade Manager (CTM) and provided UBS with a consolidated view of all trades regardless of instrument class or whether they are matched, centrally or locally.

Cheryl Nash, senior vice president, strategic marketing and business development at Checkfree, says: “UBS GAM has been a client for around 10 years and we have been talking to them about this since 2005.”

Mike Rucci, global head of operations at UBS GAM, adds: “UBS has been working closely with CheckFree for a number of years, specifically with respect to CheckFree GIM and its inclusion of expanded instrument coverage, new functionality and local market requirements.”
