Icap Selects Tervela Messaging Technology for Electronic Broking Business

Icap has selected Tervela technology to support a global messaging infrastructure for its electronic broking division Icap Electronic Broking (IEB). Tervela’s TMX message switches, TPE persistence engines and the TPM provisioning and management system beat IBM’s MQLLM solution as well as products from Tibco Software, RTI, Solace Systems and 29West in a rigorous nine-month product evaluation and sales process that came down to a bake-off between Tervela’s hardware-based solution and a software-driven messaging system.

IPM Selects Charles River IMS to Integrate with Advent Back Office

Credit Suisse Underscores Need for Hardware Appliances in High-Performance Trading Infrastructures

Credit Suisse’s decision to implement Celoxica’s hardware appliance-based data feedhandlers for its next-generation trading infrastructure appears to be consistent with its belief that its best opportunity for reducing overall trading system latency lies in addressing the processing latency of execution engine and the market data systems that support it.

FIM Bank Taps Neonet XG Platform for Nordic Market Access

Finnish bank FIM Bank Ltd. has selected Neonet’s Neonet XG trading platform for access to the rapidly fragmenting Nordic markets. The Nordic marketplace has seen increased interest as liquidity begins to fragment between its multiple primary markets and multilateral trading facilities offered by Nasdaq OMX Europe’s Neuro and Burgundy, and broader alternative markets like Chi-X Europe.

Nomura Asset Management Rolls Out Charles River IMS for Non-Japanese Equities

Japanese asset management firm Nomura Asset Management has rolled out Charles River Development’s Investment Management System (IMS) for its non-Japanese equities at its global headquarters in Tokyo. The rollout is one stage of a multi-phased implementation of the Charles River solution, which is being introduced to enhance the firm’s trade order management, decision support procedures and real-time pre-trade compliance monitoring.

AllianceBernstein Rolls Out Portware’s Enterprise Trading Platform to the UK and Hong Kong

Following the implementation of Portware’s Enterprise at its US headquarters, asset management giant AllianceBernstein has rolled out the vendor’s trading platform in the UK and Hong Kong. Michael Schwartz, chief operating officer of global equity trading at the firm, explains that the decision was made as a result of the solution’s open architecture and compatible functionality.
