Datacentre automation vendor Enigmatec Corporation has raised a further $14 million to accelerate the expansion of its international operations. The Series C second close funding brings to $44 million the total raised by the company. New investors Scottish Enterprise and Noble Venture Finance as well as current investors Amadeus Capital Partners, Pentech Ventures, Herald Ventures and chairman Kevin Lomax participated in the round.

Enigmatec Corporation is partnering with Scalent Systems to combine its run book automation software with Scalent’s infrastructure virtualisation software for large data centers. The partnership will enable policy driven automation of server repurposing to dynamically place compute resources where and when they are needed in the data center. This implementation of “real-time infrastructure” lowers data center management operations costs and increases the flexibility to react to business change.
