CEP platform provider Coral8 has named Colin Clark and Michael DiStefano to lead a new, dedicated financial services group. StreamBase Systems, a provider of high-performance complex event processing (CEP) software, has hired Terrence Kim as director of product management. Kim previously ran global product management for the ITG Net division of Investment Technology Group. He has also worked at State Street Corp., WestLB AG, and Wellington Management Company, LLP. Before this, Kim worked with an online FIX company, focusing on the development and streamlining of electronic trading workflow. He started his career trading futures and options contracts.

Vhayu has appointed Tim King to the position of director of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to support strong company growth in the region. With three European customers acquired in the first half of 2008, the appointment extends the London-based sales and services team and allows Vhayu to respond to increased market demand in the region. The additions to Vhayu’s European client roster include financial institutions in the United Kingdom and Spain and a mortgage provider in Denmark.

Colin Clark, a 22-year veteran of the financial services industry and the former founding CTO of Kaskad Technology, has joined complex event processing (CEP) provider StreamBase Systems as vice president of customers. Clark takes responsibility for professional services, training and technical support for StreamBase’s customer base. In this role, Mund will take responsibility for expansion into new regions and for 29West’s key market segments, which include banks and investment firms, hedge funds and exchanges worldwide. Mund will also focus on helping 29West’s banking clients reduce their overall costs by driving the adoption of 29West’s persistence messaging solutions across other areas of the banking enterprise beyond market data. Prior to joining 29West, Mund worked at Verizon and managed projects with Nasdaq and NASD from 2000 until 2006. In mid-2006, Mund made the move to Solace Systems where he focused on developing new client relationships in the financial markets on the US East Coast.
