KPMG in Turkey has chosen SuperDerivatives’ real-time, multi-asset options pricing and analytics platform for foreign currencies and interest rates. KPMG in Turkey joins other ”Big 4” accounting offices in standardizing on SuperDerivatives’ platform for the accurate verification of its audit clients’ portfolios. This allows KPMG auditors to ensure that their clients adhere to standards such as IAS 39, FAS 133, FAS 157 and the upcoming FAS 161 which strictly demands ”fair market value” pricing of derivatives.

Standard Chartered Bank has signed an enterprise-wide deal for Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) in Singapore, which will be deployed globally to replace its current Triarch infrastructure. RMDS will feed both desktop users and an internal pricing engine. Prices from this engine will be distributed to internal and external users using Reuters’ data transformation and contribution technology.

UBS is to use Really Simple Syndication (RSS) technology to distribute equity research to its institutional clients. The technology, often used for syndicating the content of news sites, will enable clients to receive equity research - including changes to company earnings and ratings, as well as the issuance of new research reports - using an RSS reader instead of going to a website.

Standard Bank has signed a 10-year contract with Thomson Financial for its Beta Systems Capital back-office clearing and settlement platform. Standard Bank, the London-based subsidiary of Standard Bank of South Africa, has already rolled out Capital to manage securities settlement at its London and New York offices with future plans to support its Moscow and Hong Kong offices from a central London hub next year. Separately, fund management firm Henderson Global Investors is rolling out Thomson One Investment Management platform across its operations in London, Singapore and Tokyo. Users in London will be amongst the first European clients to adopt the recently launched system, while users in Asia will be upgraded before year-end from Thomson One Analytics.
