Credit Suisse’s decision to implement Celoxica’s hardware appliance-based data feedhandlers for its next-generation trading infrastructure appears to be consistent with its belief that its best opportunity for reducing overall trading system latency lies in addressing the processing latency of execution engine and the market data systems that support it.

Winterflood Selects Interactive Data PlusFeed for European Traders

London-based market-maker Winterflood Securities has selected Interactive Data Corp.’s PlusFeed for its traders in the U.K. and European equities area. The firm opted for PlusFeed following what it calls a “comprehensive review” of possible sources.

Capital Fund Management Taps NYSE Technologies for Market Data Integration

Capital Fund Management (CFM), the largest French private hedge fund, has tapped NYSE Technologies to provide market data distribution and integration software in its New York and Paris operations. The firm is using NYSE Technologies’ Middleware Agnostic Messaging API (MAMA) to deliver data to its trading systems, which handle 100% of the firm’s order flow electronically.

Raymond James Deploys Interactive Data’s Market-Q for Retail Brokers

Long-time Reuters Plus client Raymond James Financial has deployed Interactive Data’s real-time browser-based market data terminals for use by 4,000 financial advisors in its Private Client Group. The deal is a significant win in the retail broker marketplace for Interactive Data, which isn’t usually associated with broker-terminal contracts.

Orc Teams with BCC Group for Austria, Germany, Switzerland

Orc Software has signed an independent service partner agreement with consultants BCC Group International. Under the agreement, BCC Group will implement Orc trading technology solutions, including Orc Trader, Orc Liquidator and Orc CameronFIX, for customers in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

SocGen Deploys NYSE Euronext’s Dart Tools to Monitor Bloomberg Usage

In a bid to identify underutilized Bloomberg terminals, Societe Generale has signed up to use NYSE Euronext’s market data cost management software and services, Data Access & Reporting Tools (Dart). The bank hopes the system will provide visibility on how subscriptions to data services are actually being used, in terms of access to quotes, news, graphics, analytics or trading capabilities.

CME Deploys Corvil for Data, Order Latency Monitoring

CME Group has deployed Corvil’s CorvilNet latency management system. The exchange will use the system to monitor, analyse and optimise its market data and order execution traffic against low latency objectives.
