This latest version features a new software architecture, which allows for far greater capacity and throughput. Latency has been cute to less than 100 microseconds from a millisecond. The ability to calculate derived prices from market rates in realtime has also been added.

IBM is demonstrating record-breaking low-latency performance with a showcase of high speed multicast messaging at its booth # 2213. In tests the IBM research team has achieved latency as low as 7 microseconds using reliable multicast messaging over Infiniband (compared to about 30 microsecond on infiniband in previously published IBM test results). In other testing we have verified sending over 20 million messages per second using reliable multicast messaging over Infiniband, as compared to 8 million in previously announced IBM tests.

Transamerica has been using Protegent Customer Onboard to facilitate the opening of new brokerage and non-brokerage accounts. It will now also use Protegent Customer Onboard’s new integration with DST Systems’s new account web service, to facilitate the maintenance of new accounts and electronic mutual fund transactions for the direct-to-fund business channel.
