A short walk along 54th Street (towards 7th Avenue), there is Faces & Names, a bar and lounge with a decent bar menu.

Of course, there’s also Connolly’s Pub, on 54th Street (towards 5th Avenue), the scene of Monday’s Brits on the Street party. It serves up a great pint of Guinness and a range of fine English dishes.

If trendy is your thing, then a drink at the bar of the Shoreham Hotel on 55th Street (towards 5th Avenue) could be for you.

For a more classic hotel bar, try Randolph’s in the Warwick Hotel, right across from the Hilton on the corner of 6th Avenue and 54th Street.
